‘The inchworm’

The dutiful inchworm:
spinning out its silk.
Measuring boundaries;
as do all of it’s ilk.

Carrying on linear tradition
with only instinct as a guide.
Performing it’s assigned duties
with uncharacteristic pride.

Carefully he measures his subject,
one body length at a time.
His goal is precision, not worrying about a clock chime.

We could all learn a lot from the inchworm!
