‘The short eternal war’

This is another sad tale
of the two dead boys.
Their peace and quiet
made a terrible noise.

All day and every night
the two of them fought.
A cease-fire was signed
so hope came to naught.

Swords drawn and ready.
Hostile acts they lived by.
Both were visually impaired
yet they stared eye-to-eye.

Animosity over and over,
war through and through.
The boys settled on action
so nothing was left to do.

They put aside differences.
Shaking hands in the end.
The two dead boy enemies; surrendered to their friend.

About Bo Bandy

Just a creative soul trapped in a world of cookie-cutter pragmatism...
