‘The enemy of peace’

We demanded the wall come down.
It only stood to oppress the masses.
By boxing humanity in virtual cells,
it separated us into social classes.

Then one day the task was done.
One by one, each brick fell down.
This divisive border finally gone;
from city to city and town to town.

Once our obstruction crumbled;
face to face we sought to build.
Freedom had a chance to reign.
Hope grew when trust did yield.

For such great progress we toiled.
True liberation would be at hand.
Then came a bitter pill to swallow.
The real enemy of peace is man.

About Bo Bandy

Just a creative soul trapped in a world of cookie-cutter pragmatism...
