‘Tears the gods have wept’

Poseidon delivers his drumbeat;
in a ceaseless urgent pounding.
With percussion to rally troops;
and the tidal cadence sounding.

Perpetual are shoreline rhythms,
from shoals to greatest depths.
Endless is the ocean’s bounty;
salty tears the gods have wept.

This never-ending aquatic battle.
Eternal battery assaulting land.
Global symphony of destruction.
Relentless waves beat the sand.

His sea trident is a tuning fork.
The orchestra prepares its tune.
Selene the moon goddess awaits
a melody conducted by Typhon.

About Bo Bandy

Just a creative soul trapped in a world of cookie-cutter pragmatism...
