‘The bad guy’

The bad guy wears a mask;
and grips a bank dollar bag.
He robs from a stagecoach;
and all he ever does is brag.

The bad guy lurks in the dark
or ties damsels to the tracks.
He steals candy from babies,
and stabs people in the back.

With a pencil-thin mustache
and a sinister, cackle laugh.
All bad guys dress in black,
and wear stove-pipe hats.

Bad guys never pay taxes
or perform any civic feats.
They’ll remove pillow tags;
to throw them in the street.

They don’t hold open doors,
or feed their neighbor’s cat.
A bad guy is only a stereotype.
Cartoon villains yelling ‘drat!’

About Bo Bandy

Just a creative soul trapped in a world of cookie-cutter pragmatism...
