‘Hand to hand’

The human hand is meant to grasp.
Designed to reach for, grip or clasp.
They help connect us (me and you).
So many things our hands can do.

A pair of them can applaud, or clap.
Contort your fingers to give a snap.
Unspoken gestures will form signs,
Complex signals to read our minds.

Balled-up knuckles can make a fist.
A wave shows ‘em they’ll be missed.
Fingers count down to signal ‘start’.
A pen-in-hand expresses our heart.

One of the most endearing sights;
A pair of hands with palms upright.
Fingers locked, we all understand.
A parent and child; hand to hand.

About Bo Bandy

Just a creative soul trapped in a world of cookie-cutter pragmatism...
