‘The color of our lint’

For every clothes drier on Earth,
the filter trap is clogged by lint.
Perhaps it’s a statement of mood,
or the shade demonstrates intent.

All of the fuzz caught on screen
shows what the wash has seen.
In jean-wearing homes it’s blue;
but a white load is lighter in hue.

You can tell a lot about this film,
It’s a portrait of the family pack.
Some wear a variety of colors,
but our lint ball is gothic black.

About Bo Bandy
